I was on the road for the last two weeks. Now I know that many of us aging scenesters kvetch about NYC going downhill a lot. And I wince every time a new Starbucks, Duane Reade, Chase Bank and Subway opens up. But honey, spend two weeks away from home and you'll realize that you've returned to paradise! We forget the convenience of grabbing a cab and a 24-hour subway, restaurants, drug stores, etc. I stayed in one place for two days that had nothing to eat within walking distance--I almost lost a pound since it had to walk to hunt for it's food--but no! The only places available were 2 pizza joints and a McDonalds. So I ended up eating healthier than I do at home. Seriously, try to crap on that diet. And now that I've steered the conversation towards my bowel movements, good morning to you all and enjoy this summer day!
