I don't understand it's not being on DVD either. Even when I show it to 20-somethings they scream with laughter and amazement. Or should I say _especially_ when I show it to 20-somethings--Generation Z seems to have lost all connection to brilliant camp like this.
CBS is releasing it in DVD format within the next year. Widescreen, 2 discs, commentary by William Friedkin (who directed this, 'Cruising,' and 'The Exorcist') and the playwright Matt Crowley. Supposedly because of requests from fans worldwide.
It will also be screened at next year's Tribeca Film Festival.
