TEMPEST STORM MEETS SVENGOOLIE

Buxom burlesque legend Tempest Storm meets Svengoolie, who then sings a duet with a skeleton in a wig! Tempest has the most gorgeous coiffure I've ever seen! It's like Bobbie Gentry, but poofier! I just came! Blood!

From youtube:

"In these segments from Chicago's horror-movie showcase SCREAMING YELLOW THEATER (1970-73), Svengoolie (Jerry G. Bishop) introduces burlesque queen Tempest Storm (TEASERAMA) as the guest movie-rating censor for the evening. Also, "Zelda" joins Sven for the golden oldie "I Saw Her Lying There" (a parody of the Beatles tune "I Saw Her Standing There")."

What's Tempest up to now?

From Reviewjournal.com in May 2006::

Tempest Storm says she hasn't been contacted about a movie of her life story.

Christina Aguilera faces stormy weather.

Pop singer Christina Aguilera's plans to portray burlesque stripper Tempest Storm in a film might be heading for rough seas.

"They don't have the rights to my life story and I'm still alive," said Storm, who recently moved to Las Vegas.

Storm, who made her first Las Vegas performance since 1987 on Friday at the Celebrity Theatre on Third Street, said she would be disappointed if Aguilera went ahead with the film without a courtesy call.

"I don't think they'd make an unauthorized movie," Storm, 78, said in a telephone interview from her home. "I own the rights to my life story and my book, 'The Lady is a Vamp.' "

Aguilera, 25, whose hits include "Beautiful," "What a Girl Wants" and "Stripped," has cultivated a raunchy image in recent years.

Her video for "Dirrty" was an MTV hit, and she created a buzz when she (and Britney Spears) kissed Madonna during a tribute to Madonna at the MTV Video Music Awards.

That takes me back when all the older kids were hippies and local channels had kooky hosts for groovy ghoulie horror shows...we had Scarticia...loved it. Christina as Tempest Storm? I dunno maybe she should stick to singing.

Well, Xtina should at least pay Tempest for the rights to her own life story! But I agree--I don't wanna really see Xtina act. --B
