FROM YOUTUBE: Vintage TV commercial for the "Little Miss Echo" doll. The crazy girl looks about 16 years old, much too old to be playing with dolls. Judging by her demented and excited facial expressions, perhaps she is a lonely simpleton whose parents have her locked away from the world.

The girl looks a little like Martha Raye...maybe she WAS locked away! Maybe it was a "Flowers in the Attic" thing...maybe the studios had to hush up her existence so Martha's image wouldn't be harmed. In order to shut up the adoptive parents, they gave the kid this commercial. And apparently, a whole crate full of amphetamines and sugar.
Yeah, the girl is upsetting but the doll's fantastic! Do you think I can find one on ebay? I could teach her to say "eat my ass"... that would be funny (not to say usefull).
That's disgusting, putting those little slave labor fingers to use for the devil's skillsaw, Beatrice, smack doodle, hamburger fillabuster, achoo!
Faviv, I saw a comment on the YouTube entry from a person who DID buy an original doll from 1962 and paid $190 for it.
Frankly, I'd rather have Mrs. Beasley. She'll let me wear her glasses if I wish...
