AND DRINK SOME CHERRY WINE

The much ridiculed WE DON'T HAVE TO TAKE OUR CLOTHES OFF, by Jermaine Stewart, was one of my favorite 80's pop-soul hits. Jermaine was a former SOUL TRAIN dancer who is now deceased. Question: is his gorgeous, straight, side-part bob called a "french perm"?

Other videos on youtube include the campy THE WORD IS OUT (a gay hint?) and SAY IT AGAIN.

What a gay little dance tune! I just love it. And to think my friends laughed at me when I bought the 45. I treasure it in my collection.

I didn't know he had snuffed it, what a shame. I was only listening to this song a few days ago on an 80's hits collection. Camp as Christmas!

While I love a lot of 80's music this one was always on my shit list. Apart from the fact that I don't like the sound of it I also saw it as sign of pop music hopping on the "Just Say No" to sex and drugs bandwagon. I think it came out around the same time as "Let's Wait a While."

I'm sorry she died, I'm sure she was a very sweet queen, but I don't like her song. I DO love her leopard gloves!
