This, along with 4 other Metro Movietone Revues, is available on THE Broadway MELODY DVD. The MC is the very effeminate Harry Rose. Mr. Rose introduces each act saying they will sing a made up "humorous" song title.
The MC then does a humorous number about "Frankfurter Sandwiches".
That's fantastic, you should cover it Bunny.
Try to understand the context of this - it was another world - think 'The Shining'
Ahhh! Mr. Grady I've hidden under my bed.

Is that Nathan Lane's grandfather?
FYI - Varla Jean Merman has done a video to this song on her new DVD. Hilarious!
It's Harry Rose, a wonderful comedian, and he wasn't gay at all. He was sort of like Jack Benny,if anybody remembers him. His version of the big Al' Jolson hit "My Mammy" was better than Jolson's. Jolson also was a person famous then, but likely unkown by teenagers, who make up most of the world, today. All gone now.
