the playing card thing reminds me of 'whatever happened to aunt alice' with a twist - geraldine page is an impoverished widow who gets old ladies for companions then kills them and buries them in the backyard each under their own pine tree and steals their life savings. everybody go out and find it.
I LOVE that flick! I love Geraldine's rant about the stray dog: "I haven't taken loving care of this garden to have it WRECKED by some mongrel BITCH!"
