JUST HEARD THE TRAYVON MARTIN VERDICT

Crying myself to sleep tonight. Imagine how Trayvon's parents must feel. People, we can not let kids continue to be gunned down by psychotic attackers who get off scot-free. I don't know if this is the result of a problem with our judicial system, the stand your ground law as interpreted in Florida, rampant racism in red states, money buying better lawyers, too many guns in the hands of unbalanced volunteer vigilantes who have an in with the police or what. Or maybe it's all of the above. But no matter how comples the problem is, we've got to do something about it. It might take a little more attention or involvement than we're used to giving. But it's well worth it. Tonight, there feels like there is more wrong with this country than there is right. And we MUST pull together and change that. Or live with this profound sadness.
