HORSE FEATHERS

Whenever you eat ground meat you don't know exactly what's in it. Ground beef or hot dogs, it's bones and beaks and everything else ground up in there. But consumers would like to imagine that whatever it is, it's from the same animal. And that animal is not a horse or cat. And there will be mistakes--but 60 percent of this lasagne is horsemeat? That's not like one horse fell into the grinder once. The horses wouldn't be at the plant unless we were eating them in many other ways, would they?
