GRRRRR!

The latest version of iTunes is so pitiful that I've just spoken with an applecare rep who agreed that everyone was calling into gripe about it. It's just a big ad for music they're selling in the store--just in time for Christmas. Speaking off the record (!), he advised me to google "downgrade iTunes youtube" for tutorials on how to revert to the older, more user-friendly version. And if you are getting tech tips from this fool--you are really in sad shape! Just thought I'd share in case you were also mystified.
