A CONSPIRACY WE EAT THRICE A DAY

IT'S REALLY DARK TO IMAGINE THAT YOUR GOVERNMENT IS CONSPIRING AGAINST YOU TO MAKE YOUR FOODS LESS HEALTHY.

But this isn't an undocumented conspiracy theory--it IS happening. In most of the US, you can't even buy non-genetically modified foods. You certainly can't escape them if you eat out in most restaurants. Sadly, organic food is more expensive so it's outside of many folks budgets. Many lower income areas nationwide don't even have a conveniently located grocery store with fresh produce available--so neighborhood residents' can only buy processed foods. Even if they could get to a grocery store with produce to cook their own food--the ingredients would be genetically modified.

One point that's come up in the debate over Chik-Fil-A is if you're going to mobilize against something that bad for you, then stop eating chicken altogether since it full of hormones and who knows what else. Let's not even mention the beef industry--since it's against the law to criticize it, as Oprah found out.

Saddest of all? While Michelle Obama has made her platform healthier eating, her husband has done the opposite by appointing a former Monsanto head as the deputy commissioner to the FDA. A clear case of the fox guarding the henhouse. Look him up if you don't believe me and tell me how you can justify one of Obama's darkest deeds which proves he's in bed with crooks who've no concern for our safety: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_R._Taylor This conspiracy is real--but you won't hear it on the news because the channels would lose the ad $ from foods which use GMOs. And corn or it's derivative corn syrup is in almost every processed food.

So here's a run-down of the top 10 GMOS to avoid. Do with it what you will.

Genetically modified foods have been shown to cause harm to humans, animals, and the environmental, and despite growing opposition, more and more foods continue to be genetically altered. It’s important to note that steering clear from these foods completely may be difficult, and you should merely try finding other sources than your big chain grocer. If produce is certified USDA-organic, it’s non-GMO (or supposed to be!) Also, seek out local farmers and booths at farmer’s markets where you can be ensured the crops aren’t GMO. Even better, if you are so inclined: Start organic gardening and grow them yourself. Until then, here are the top 10 worst GMO foods for your “do not eat” GMO foods list.

1. Corn: This is a no-brainer.
