Well, a few years ago. The grande dame of English drag died a few years ago. Seems an impertinent reporter asked her why she was working during a strike. Miss La Rue let her have it in the grandest of ways.

Danny is still alive bewildered ...just.
Not only is Danny still alive, but still working. He recently did a concert in Benidorm, Spain. "40 years in the business, and still the same old bra!"
Hes not DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I hear he is broke....
I saw him interviewed on Irish tv recently. Seemed a bit 'confused' but still has a very high opinion of himself!

Danny La rue is a bitter and evil old queen! is jealous of anyone younger who attempts to do any glam stage work as a female impersonator, i know as i was on the receiving end of his bitterness,sadly for him my lawyer took care of him and his evil rotweiller annie glabraith a.k.a. his dressmaker/P.A.
