I luvs me some Betty Butterfield, almost as much as Ms. Liquor.
What a racist! OMG. How can we (glbt Americans) expect people to respect our lifestyle and support our fight for civil rights when we're still promoting the subjugation of another minority group? This is very troubling.
Sorry if it troubles you, but Betty is not in black-face, so I don't see her as subjugating any minority group. Betty is a muddled white church lady.
Besides, even Shirley doesn't strike everyone as a racist. She's featured on RuPaul's new album and the black friend who introduced me to the queen who plays both Shirley and Betty has opened for Shirley.
