PLEASE CALL YOUR REPS OR GET READY FOR WAR WITH IRAN.
Sen.s Schumer and Gillibrand support the sanctions which will lead to war.
In response to the relentless attempts in Congress to undermine diplomacy with Iran, some members of Congress who support diplomacy are circulating a new sign-on letter in the House that urges congressional restraint while negotiations with Iran are ongoing.
It’s being called the “Give Diplomacy a Chance” letter. You can read the entire text of the letter below, but the crux of the letter says:
“[W]e believe that Congress must give diplomacy a chance. A bill or resolution that risks fracturing our international coalition or, worse yet, undermining our credibility in future negotiations and jeopardizing hard-won progress toward a verifiable final agreement, must be avoided.”
The deadline to sign the Give Diplomacy a Chance letter is Friday.

American diplomats along with those of other world powers are in the middle of incredibly delicate negotiations with Iran over the scope of its nuclear program.
The stakes of these talks are extremely high. If diplomacy fails, the alternative will almost certainly be another war.
Yet far too many members of Congress seem willing to sabotage diplomacy rather than give President Obama the time and political space necessary to cut a reasonable deal with Iran to verifiably ensure it will never get a nuclear weapon.
A large number of Democrat co-signers on the Give Diplomacy a Chance letter could ward off attempts by Republicans to undermine both President Obama and his ability to successfully negotiate a reasonable and verifiable agreement with Iran.

When over a dozen Senate Democrats joined Republicans pushing a bill that would impose new sanctions on Iran, which threatened to derail the delicate diplomatic negotiations now underway, CREDO members took action.
Thanks in part to our activism, the drive to pass new sanctions has stalled in the Senate. But we cannot rest on our laurels while ignoring other threats to diplomacy.
If you want to build on the momentum we have, pick up the phone today and make a call to Rep. Nadler in support of the Give Diplomacy a Chance letter. Click here for the number to call and a sample script:
