REMEMBER THIS?

Who could forget the iconic images of Iraqis with ink-stained fingers to prove that they'd voted in 2005. That ink was supposed proof of the success of our mission in Iraq--ousting dictator Saddam and conducting democratic elections. Lo and behold, the good ol' USA had spread their great democracy all the way into the volatile, primitive Middle East! But have you seen the ridiculously long lines for EARLY voting in the US? Early voting days which have been trimmed away by republican governors like the one in Florida? Seems like we're better at spreading democracy (with guns and bombs) abroad while we're killing it here. And did you notice that many of the people in the longest lines aren't white?
