BROKEN NEWS!

I wonder if interest in the debate was low in advance--any word on how many tuned in? Not that they are bastions of fine journalism but I was surprised to see, the day before the first presidential debate, "news" papers with cover stories like Lindsay Lohan's hotel fracas over which no charges were filed (The NY Post) and Nicky Minaj threatening to punch her co-judge Mariah Carey (Daily News). Isn't that kind of pitiful? Like them or not, they are two of the biggest papers in NYC.
