"FASHION" NOTES!

My  friend from Paris, Gabriel Moginot, learned the art of corsetry from the esteemed Mr. Pearl. And he makes an incredible model pairing banji boy fashions with this staple of historical women's undergarments.

MORE PICS:    WOW

Billy Beyond was on hand as Ellen Von Unwerth shot me for Candy Magazine--can't wait to see her pics. She was a dream to work with and I'm told that another "lady", The Lady Chablis from "Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil" will also be featured. For more of Billy's snaps, click below. (I'm so glad that she snapped me prior to my birthday eating binges!)

London designer Sir Charlie Le Mindu is profiled on Vice.com. He's seen here holding a dress made from 30, 000 fake nails--and a really good color of fake nails, too, might I add! Sir Charlie is perhaps best known for his work for pop stars, about which he says:

It's funny, even though I work with a lot of popstars, I don't like pop music at all – I'm just doing it for the money. I mean, it can be fun sometimes, like doing stuff for Gaga is OK. She'll call me up and say, "Oh, I need something black and hairy," then I'll send a few drawings to Nicola [Formichetti, Gaga's stylist] and we go from there. That kind of thing is a lot of fun."

MORE ON SIR CHARLIE:   VICE

My former Atlantan Larry Tee has done a song featuring Charlie and a genius disco sample from Voyage.
