MY DUET WITH NINA HAGEN

2005: Nina Hagen was in New York several years ago for the Tribeca film festival, in which her exquisite daughter was appearing in a film. She agreed to perform at Charm School but since she performs with a band, she didn't have an instrumental track. I did! She also didn't want to sing the high notes, so I said I'd try to d...o them in a duet with her. Then the bad news: I had been undergoing electrolysis on my beard and my face was hamburger to which make-up could not be applied. So Chris March was kind enough to whip up this demented dress with matching veil. Working with her was a dream come true and she looks exactly the same as she did in the 80s'. Which is totally stunning and unique.
