Friar Johnny Duran considers these angels painted in a Dominican Republic church too gay-looking. The church is called Our Lady of Carmen--how I wish the angels were modeled after legendary trans beauty Carmen Xtravaganza. That angel would be so feminine that they'd never even clock it as a man! (But you still got that voice.)

I guess it's ok for gay priests to rape boys for centuries all over the world until the church is literally broke from paying off cover-ups and legal fees, but don't you dare go and paint an effeminate angel. As if angels aren't supposed to be beautiful, ethereal--asexual even.

Would a steroided out macho man with veins popping out of his neck as he lifts weights angel make the cut with the douchebag friar? If he knew picked up one fag rag (which I'm sure he has), he'd see that muscled up gym guys are on every page!

Just when this oil spill makes you think that there couldn't be a more corrupt organization than the American government, the corrupt catholic church rears it's ugly head begging SMASH US FIRST! Gay catholics are out of their mind. You hate yourselves if you worship something which hates you. Case closed.

Perhaps nothing has been more of a staple in religious-themed art than angels, those oft-winged messengers from heaven who float through the air with their wispy hair and billowy fabrics. The Sistine Chapel has its angels. El Greco liked his angels, as well. And Leonardo Da Vinci found a way to paint a few angels in his lifetime, too.

But an artist's depiction of angels is sparking unrest at one parish in the Dominican Republic. That artist would be Roberto Flores, who's 12-year-old painting, "Allegory of the Virgin of Carmen," covers the insides of Our Lady of Carmen church in the area of Jarabacoa, a town of about 77,000 folks. The Virgin of Carmen, also known as Virgen del Carmen, is a title given to Mary regarding her role as patroness of the Carmelite order, historically a group that got its beginning as a bunch of Christian hermits living in the Holy Land in the 12th century.
