OBAMA'S 1ST RIFF WITH PROGRESSIVES?
So Obama has picked a spiritual leader to kick off his inauguration, and the pastor is one of those megachurch nightmares who's against abortion, gays and stem cell research. Pastor Rick Warren's choice has outraged some gays. Honestly, I see the point of Obama's pick--he's already courting the evangelical vote even though Obama's platform is at odds with evangelicals. Obama and Rick are friends, apparently, and O is only using the guy for one day so I'm willing to let it go. I just wish that we had true separation of church and state as laid out in the Constitution and no "holy man" was needed to inaugurate with mumbo jumbo of any kind. At least Jeremiah Wright would be more entertaining!
I know that Miss Aretha will be singing along with some cellist. I guess they turned down Beyonce! I wonder if they thought she was to hoochie for an inauguration? I remember reading that she offered her services for the event.

I never expected to agree with every decision he made.
Bill Clinton signed actual anti-gay legislation into law but no one ever shrieked and fussed as loudly as they are today over this one decision on Obama's part, a decision that does not affect policy.
I was there... we shrieked! Obama's a powerhungry say anything asshole who's got nothing on a street walking hussy who's hunting dollas. He said anything it took to get him there and now the bullshit is on. And a lot of my sister fags who just wanted to prove they are not racist because they like to get fucked by minorities voted for him (by the way just because you get fucked by minorities doesn't prove you are down with the peoples, just ask thomas jefferson and every other racist ass in the history of the world. They all get plowed) showyouright!
I can't believe that nobody mention the inclusion of Rev Joseph Lowery. He is giving the benediction. This gentleman was one of the founders of the Civil Rights movement and has also been a supporter of Gay Marriage. Doesn't that count at all? Give Obama some credit. If you want to be included you have to be inclusive.
