'70'S GAME SHOW STAR IS GONE! I'M STILL REELING FROM CHARLES NELSON REILLY'S PASSING!
WESTPORT, Conn. (AP) -- The son of actress and comedienne Brett Somers says she has died in Westport of stomach and colon cancer. She was 83.
Somers' son, Adam Klugman, says she died Saturday at her home. She was best known for her appearances on the ''Match Game'' in the 1970s.
She married actor Jack Klugman, star of the television shows ''Quincy'' and ''The Odd Couple,'' in 1953. The two separated in 1974, but never divorced. Somers appeared on several episodes of ''The Odd Couple,'' playing the ex-wife of Klugman's character.
Later in her career, she appeared in a cabaret show, ''An Evening with Brett Somers.''
She was born in Canada and grew up in Maine.

Rhyming Funnyman Nipsey Russell Dies
By Joe Holley
Washington Post Staff Writer
Tuesday, October 4, 2005; Page B06
Nipsey Russell, an actor and comedian whose impromptu versifying was familiar in years past to TV game show and late-night talk show audiences, died Oct. 2 of cancer at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
Mr. Russell didn't have a birth certificate, so his age couldn't officially be confirmed, said Joseph Rapp, Mr. Russell's manager for nearly 40 years. He was either 81 or 82 and had lived for many years in New York City
No! Not Brett! Of all the legendary children who scribbled down words on Match Game, Brett was always my favorite. The sassy one-liners, the larger-than-life eyewear, the collection of wigs/hats... she had stiff competition on that show (Jo Ann Worley, Charles Nelson Reilly, Charo, etc.), but Brett was my girl.
I had the insane pleasure of meeting her with her friend Bea Arthur about 7 years ago. I'll have to dig up that photo to send to Bunion.
I was glad to see she was back on the scene in recent years with her cabaret show. She'll be missed.
Well.....Madonna is Queen and you can wear her Blonde Ambition clown look with a dash of evil for eternity and you'll never get her power/energy...unless you find the light of GOD:) Peace-Out BUGS BUNNY
GOD BLESS HUNNIE-BUNNY:) www.kabbalah.com
PS SAY HI TO JAAACCKKIIE BEEATT OFF FOR ME:)
Brett Somers is queen, biotch.
Sadly, Match Game regular, Bret Somers, passed away Saturday. In her last will and testament, Ms. Somers expressed her wish that at her funeral instead of flowers everyone should bring blank.
