I have always had my suspicions about chinese food. I once saw a cat been prepared at kowloon market. This is what I witnessed.
An old man with no teeth and dirty fingernails nails(George Micheal's ex!) took a live cat out of a small cage from which it held around 35 other cats, all with their paws bound. Out comes the cleaver and off with its head!The head is placed to one side and the spooky thing about it was that its eyes were still moving. a bit like the cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland. Once skinned and gutted which took about 5 seconds the paws were chopped off, the chinese don't waste anything and I had to turn away when I realised with horror what he was going to do with the head, it involved a chisel and a mallet.To this day I cannot look at a chinese face without feeling bilious. Has anyone been to a chinese funeral? I haven't and I don't know anyone else who has, so that arouses my suspicions even further, either they live forever or we don't always get what we ask for in their restaurants! Bon appetite!
I've never really understood why people think eating one animal is okay but eating another is disgusting. Is eating a pig, pigeon or frog somehow acceptable but not a rat, cat or dog?
It's not "natural", "normal" or kind, the flesh you so fancifully fry. The meat in your mouth as you savour the flavour of murder

I'd eat rat I think. In Peru Guinea Pig is a delicacy.
I was under the impression that the "eating" rats were bred specifically for that purpose in domestic situations in China.

That didn't happen in the US. It happened in Asia where people know that they are eating rat, and not being mislead to think it was chicken.
