BOSTON LEGAL PROTEST

A scene so powerful I'm shocked that ABC aired it. I guess it's permitted as fiction.

...? Am I missing something?

My guess: There was a gaybashing on an episode of (gag) Boston Legal.

In which case, I'm also shocked!

Good summary marred by sappy acting and atrocious camera work.

I saw that too. It was a fair summary of all the things that have gone wrong lately and been largely ignored. It's like everyone is walking around so devoid of something missing or substance or interest that no matter what happens everyone witnesses it like a cow chewing its cud watching the farmer coming to slaughter it then it's the next day or week or month or year and no one questions or remembers , it's on to the next stupid contrivity, bring on Entertainment tonight and telecast sporting events and everyone is happy. Blech.

I guess I'm one of the few fans of this wacky, over-the-top, farcical satire of the legal industry who is also a fan of the inimitable Lady Bunny. (Bun, you watched it, so perhaps you are a fan too!) The show's intention, I believe, is to highlight the zany side of courtroom drama with ridiculous cases, such as a woman sending in her tax return with a post-it that says STICK IT. (Sadly, our courts are clogged with such drivel.)

I believe the scene was allegorical -- the lone voice among a sea of apathy. The acting was intentionally lacklustre to prove the point. Why are more people not alarmed by our loss of freedom? Where is the outrage? Sadly, we see it on a few blogs and an inane legal comedy that gets killed in the ratings despite star power and absurd plot lines -- Denny Crane!

Again, the show is basically silly but does throw in an issue of substance now and again. Ok, enough of the gibber jabber!
