Well Lady Bunny I sort of felt the same way when they cleaned that gorgeous statue of Gertrude Stein.
I mean, more than HALF A CENTURY of soot and bird shit and vendor grease that could have been studied carefully, given time in a documentary film investigating those who walked by, thought about, talked about Stein. But no no, now we're left with a shiny imposter of Time's layered curl washed to the sewer.
