You may have seen this photo and the following text circulating:

"This is a photo of Susan B. Anthony trying to vote in 1872, when it was illegal for a woman to vote. She was beaten and arrested for trying to do something we all take for granted today. Don't forget to exercise your right as an American!!"


The photo is of Susan B. Anthony in 1872 and she had gone to vote. However, this photo was taken two days before the election and proves only that Susan was an alcoholic with a dreadful sense of style.
