US CREATING MORE ARAB TERRORISTS

Remember when Bush bragged that elections in Iraq were a sign of the US spreading democracy? If we love spreading democracy so much, why has does the US give $1.5 bil a year to support Mubarak and amidst Egyptians' calls for a more democratic gov't? This is what creates anti-US terrorists, just like attacking innocent countries like Iraq and not leaving. Spreading democracy abroad? BS! We're even killing it at home!

Egypt is one of the largest recipients of US aid. And that $ goes to someone who squashes democracy. I wonder if we could use that $ at home. Maybe we could funnel just a little in that town where a family watched their house burn because t...hey hadn't paid off the local fire dept?

MORE ON THIS SHOCKER: NYTIMES

Nah! Why keep American homes from burning when we can pay Mubarak to keep the Suez canal free to ease our addiction to oil? And to not side with Palestinians against Israel?

We create terrorist all over the world and then act mystified when they attack us and blame their bizarre muslim hotheaded ways. Of course there are extremists in every religion. But the US has done it's part to create terrorism against itself. A smart move? That $1.5 billion per year comes from your tax dollars so you do have a say in this.

THIS IS FROM AN OPINION PIECE IN THE UK'S INDEPENDENT:

"Obama's own response – about the need for reforms and an end to such violence – was an exact copy of all the lies Mubarak has been using to defend his regime for three decades. It was deeply amusing to Egyptians that Obama – in Cairo itself, after his election – had urged Arabs to grasp democracy. These aspirations disappeared when he gave his tacit if uncomfortable support to the Egyptian president on Friday."
