YUCCH!

I rarely channel surf but did a little yesterday and was horrified by a snippet of The Real Housewives Of New York. Basically footage of unlikeable characters arguing over nothing. I see it as the opposite of entertainment and quite possibly the end of civilization. Now if they were arguing over SOMETHING, that could b...e interesting. But to just sit and stare at someone else's silly, personal squabble is so pathetic! Why does this interest anyone? Because the gals are in a restaurant you can't afford or wearing clothes you wish you could afford? Please explain to me the appeal if you like the show or any of the housewives franchise. I'd always thought housewives managed households and took care of their kids. I would hope heifers this rotted would never even be allowed to reproduce!



I really can't understand the desire to document such women. I DON'T KNOW ANY PETTY, HIDEOUS, OFF WOMEN LIKE THIS AND I LIVE IN NYC! I'VE RARELY EVEN MET ANY LIKE THIS AND IF I DID, I SURE AS HELL WOULD NEVER ARRIVE AT THE NOTION TO FILM THEM. MORE LIKE GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THEM!

Is it the trainwreck appeal that makes us watch someone clearly slurring on heavy duty prescriptions like Anna Nichole Smith and then express dismay and shock when she ODs? How culturally and emotionally bankrupt are we if we are if we seek sh(t like that out as entertainment? I can't even look at that wretched Bethany Frankel's badly butchered nose without rubbing my own nose and saying OW!

Needless to say, I'm now hooked on the show and will be back with a full report on the next episode about what they wore and fought about.
