Lots of fun facts on Betty in this article--too bad it's an obituary! I never knew she hailed from Tennessee, where I grew up--the similarities unfortunately end there--or that she suffered from mental illness--ok, maybe a few more similarities--or that she became a born-again Christian in 1959. When finally coaxed into selling autographed pics in her later years, she'd get $200-$300, as opposed to Eleanor Rosevelt's $40.
